Valerie Peters serves as Olin Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), responsible for leading Olin’s global human resources organization and strategic human capital initiatives. She serves as a member of Olin’s Executive Leadership Team and reports to Olin President & CEO Kenneth T. Lane.
Valerie joined Olin in 1991 in Communications before transitioning to Human Resources in 1997. During her tenure with Olin, Valerie served as Senior Labor Relations Representative and Manager of Compensation & Benefits before advancing to the roles of Director, Senior Director, and Vice President of Human Resources. She was appointed Chief Human Resources Officer in 2018.
As part of her many contributions to Olin, Valerie led the HR activities necessary for the successful start-up of Winchester’s 1,000+ employee manufacturing facility in Oxford, Mississippi. In 2021, she spearheaded the revamp of Olin’s Total Rewards strategy incorporating a new global rewards & recognition program and launch of 40 hours of paid leave for employees to volunteer. Valerie co-leads Olin’s worldwide employee engagement framework, All In Together, and is executive sponsor of the Inclusion at Olin Network.
Valerie holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master of Business Administration from St. Louis University.
